Santè Spa Cuisine, Koregaon Park is not your regular all day cafe. Santè, meaning health, is actually a spa for your body from the inside. This picturesque restaurant is successfully breaking the general perception that healthy food cannot be tasty.

Pineapple and Spinach Spearmint –
This is the drink that will make your mom happy. This drink may not be very pleasing to the eye but is surprisingly very tasty. If you like smoothies and pineapples then this is the best detox drink for you. A very salubrious spinach smoothie with a freshness of spearmint and a notorious tangy and sweetness of pineapple makes it a super yum drink to slurp on. It is a must try while going through their menu.

Bread Baskets With Flavoured Butter –
Santè Spa never compromises with the quality of food that they serve. So the bake their own bread and churn their own butter to ensure that everything is healthy and the quality is maintained. The bread basket consists of oat rolls, multigrain ciabatta, barn baps and grissini and was accompanied by four types of in-house butter –
Garlic foam- Garlic and butter is a well-accepted combination all around the world. The butter was tart and super garlicky just like how I like it.
Tomato and chilli foam – Hot and tangy butter is something that we might never think of but this was by far most unique and, also, most tasty butter for me.
Mushroom and soy foam – I don’t really adore mushroom that much so my take on this butter may be influenced by it. But all the vegetarians around the table loved it.
Country style chia whiten butter – If you’ve been following my blog then, by now, you know that I love my butter white and it is never enough for me. Call me old-fashioned but this was the best out of all four kinds of butter severed. I did not understand why the chia seeds were used but it added a good texture to the smooth, creamy white butter.
Beetroot and Spinach Hummus, Khakra Chips –
Hummus makes everything better, be it a dry bread from yesterday or a packet of chips. Pune is now accepting hummus as a dip and not as a sauce that put in a shawarma. Santè Spa makes and serves different flavours of hummus. All the hummus are coloured and flavoured using natural ingredients and is served with a generous amount of olive oil. Talking about the plating, Santè Spa uses plates and bowls made out of neem tree to sever almost everything. Both the hummus are perfectly flavoured and a super bright in colour. Served with khakra chips and not a tradition pita bread, show the marwadi roots of Mrs. Sonal Barmecha, the owner of all three restaurants across India.
Southern Spiced Cottage Cheese –
Filled with curry and mustard flavours this juicy paneer appetizer is true to its name with a burst of south Indian flavours. And to make sure you don’t miss out on the Deccan flavours the also serve a sweet and tangy tomato chutney/dip with it.
Hummus and Spiced mushroom Multi-grain Tartine –
Tartine is essentially an open sandwich. So this open bread sandwich is has a multigrain bread, topped with a huge quantity of hummus and mildly spiced stir-fried mushrooms. The entire combination worked very well as the flavours of hummus and spices on the mushroom and texture of the bread went amazing together.
– Soups and Farm Salads –
Tibetan Thukpa –
Thukpa is basically a Tibetan noodle soup, which originated in the eastern part of Tibet and northern part of Nepal. So it contains a lot of Indo-Tibetan flavours. The thukpa tasted just like a regular dark soy soup thukpa that you get everywhere in Pune but had more vegetables and wheat noodles in it. It was served in the bowl made of neem tree and a wooden spoon.
Spaghetti of Vegetables –
Making spaghetti of vegetables I believe is an art. Till now I would just read about it in fancy books and watch it on youtube. This was my first encounter with it. I’ll give you a background of what spaghetti of vegetables means. Spaghetti, the pasta noodle, is traditionally made from flour but these noodles are made from some select vegetables like zucchini or sweet potatoes. After these super healthy spaghetti is made it is cooked like every other pasta. This was a very fresh past with a lot of fresh juices, herbs and vegetables tossed in. This bowl of fibres was topped with khakra chips to give the entire dish a contrasting texture.
Thai Curried Vegetables with Brown Rice –
This is was a glutton free Thai curry which didnot taste any different from the regular Thai curry. Having it with the brown rice was Something new because I like my Thai curry with the either steamed rice or a big portion of heavily buttered and herbed rice.
Whole Wheat Spaghetti with Kale Pesto –
Another in-house preparation where the basil from pesto has been replaced with kale keeping the other ingredient intact. The garlic, olive oil and pine nuts retain the pesto flavour to some extent but you can still taste the slight bitterness of the kale in the sauce. After a few bites, you get used to it or should I say that the flavour grows on you. They’ve used whole wheat spaghetti and chunks of vegetables to lift the texture and the flavour of the pasta while keeping the health factor in mind.
– Guiltfree Desserts –
Mango Passion Vetiver –
Mango Passion Vetiver is a smoothie bowl filled with the goodness of roasted almonds, raisins, peaches, oats and soaked chia seeds.
Jamun Cheesecake –
Another soul nourishing and guiltfree dessert from Sante Spa cuisine, Kp. This cheesecake is made out of Indian blackberries and low fat cottage cheese lets you relish this is amazingly tasty dessert without worrying about putting on some extra calories.
